About QMT Windchimes
QMT Windchimes, Inc. is the premier domestic wholesale manufacturer of fine, hand-tuned windchimes. Our products are proudly manufactured and shipped from our factory and shipping warehouse facilities located in Manassas Park, Virginia, USA.
QMT Windchimes: How we beganQMT Associates, Inc. originated in the Florida craft show circuit in the early 80’s. Mike Throne camped in the back of his van and traveled to craft shows selling different products, including windchimes from a local producer. When his source for chimes dried up, Mike began to fabricate his own windchimes, with an eye toward continually improving his designs. Working during the week in a 10’ x 20’ warehouse, he produced the chimes that would be sold on the weekend. Mike was determined to offer the buying public a chime that was as beautiful to see as it was to hear. And it worked; the demand for his windchimes soon overwhelmed his ability to manufacture chimes so he took a deep breath and became a young entrepreneur following the American dream. He hired his first employees, found our facility in Manassas Park and set down roots in the community to produce windchimes for wholesale trade shows.
Other Brands by QMT WindchimesCorinthian Bells® windchimes are our bestsellers and continued to set the standard for oustanding sound, durability and artistic appeal. Corinthian Bells® feature extra-thick aluminum tubes which are centrally pinned for long lasting sounds. Available in ten hand-tuned sizes. Shenadoah Melodies® windchimes are a new line modeled after the success of Corinthian Bells®. Shenandoah Melodies® wind chimes are constructed of durable powder coated aluminum and feature centrally suspended tubes for outstanding resonance. Their redwood strikers and fluted domes add a brightness to their sound and profile. Available Colors: Sage, Plum, Chestnut, Black, Green, Coppervein, and Patina Green.
Arias Elite® windchimes were introduced in January of 2008 and privide a bridge between the traditional construction of the Arias® brand and the superb musicality of our contemporary chimes. Made with redwood tops, strikers and sails, Arias Elite® chimes resist rot in the outdoors. Medium-weight aluminum tubes provide beutiful tones for an affordable price. Available in Silver, Bronze, Black, and Sage.
Weatherland® windchimes feature a high gloss varnish in Walnut or Oak. In addition to the standard Silver&Bronze, Weatherland® chimes are available in Green, Patina Green and Coppervein powder coated tubes.
Arias® is our original brand and is over twenty-five years strong. Arias® windchimes feature a traditional design at an affordable price. Arias® chimes are made from American redwood and are available in Silver, Bronze, Forest Green and Patina Green.
Mountain View® birdhouses and birdfeeders are an excellent compliment to any of our chimes. Listen to the harmonies of our chimes and as well as the songbirds of your yard. All feeders and houses are made of weather resistant redwood. Mountain View® houses feature removable roofs for easy cleaning and observation. All feeders and houses feature embossed trim, and feeder sides are available in clear plexiglass or with an engraved bird design.
Moving ForwardJamie Baisden purchased QMT from Mike Throne in�January of 2006. Jamie shares Mike's vision for QMT and has continued to move QMT forward as a domestic producer committed to its employees, customers and community. Since then, QMT has expanded the range of our Corinthian Bells® chimes and introduced the Shenandoah Melodies®, Arias® Elite, and In Loving Memory® brands of chimes. Our customer service team continues evolving to anticipate our customers’ needs. We continue to move forward with new sounds and designs while maintaining the standards of excellence, innovation, and domestic production on which the company was built.
